New Year
This past year has been challenging though it also contributed to aspects of my personal growth. This december, I finished college (I attended Lake Forest College for the past two years). I was given a book over this past summer "The Happiness Project" and about two days ago, started reading "Happier at Home" also by Gretchen Rubin. Her books inspired me to make resolutions for 2014. Her advice to be successful is first to write them down and as a mean to held myself accountable to track them down on a resolution chart, while she also highly encourages anyone to keep our resolutions everyday as much easier to get into the habit then.
My resolutions and goals for 2014:
*Read more (though I read almost everyday)
*Try each month a new activity (meditation, join a book club, snowboarding, work on my resume)
* Take better care of myself: do cardio for 30 min (3x/week), nails, hydrate skin, drink more water daily, consume less sugar, forgive myself, laugh more, eliminate clutter habits and triggers to my frustration including not giving the power to others to alter my mood (happiness leeches), learn to say no and take time for the things that matter to me.
*Post once a week on my blog (even if just a picture or a recipe)
*Try each month one new recipe
*Start a scrabble party
*Be more spontaneous and decrease my impulse to be in control
